Special scenarios can make for an interesting game of WARMACHINE. This is a picture from a game I played all the way back in 2007. We used a large terrain piece originally made for playing Warhammer Fantasy. It is a large lake. We used an O Scale railroad bridge, and placed it over the lake.
The idea was that this location was crucial to the supply lines leading into Khador territory. The battle was fought for control of the bridge. Bridges were often the target of several operations, skirmishes, and battles during war as they are a control point for transport of supplies and troops. For example, read about Operation Market Garden on which this game of WARMACHINE was loosely based.
In the end, Lt. Caine managed to pull out a win.
